Hekuran Budani

Hekuran Budani holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in International Security and Global Governance, from Birkbeck College, University of London, and currently follows his Doctoral Studies in Political Science at the University of Tirana. He is also a graduate from the University of Tirana, holding a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
He has a military background, as an active duty officer, commissioned from the former-Scanderbeg Military University, followed up with a series of qualifications including Officer Candidate School in New Jersey, USA, awarded with the “Distinguish Graduate Award” and the Infantry Officer Leadership Course, at the Infantry School, in Georgia, USA, with exceptional results.
He has an extended expertise on national and international security issues, with experience on teaching and researching in the field International Relations, at the Albanian Armed Forces Academy, publishing multiple articles and co-authored in a book named “War, Politics and Society”.
He also has over eight years of experience as an infantry officer in the Albanian Armed Forces, with various positions and responsibilities, both at home and abroad and has participated in a peacekeeping mission, trainings, conferences, and exercises within NATO.
He is fluent in English, Turkish, and Italian, while having basic knowledge of the German language.
He is married and has two children.
